Life is Uncertain
But here's what we do know.
Most of us will live a long life. In our 80’s and 90’s, most of us will become ill or frail and will need help with our daily activities.
But the truth is most haven’t planned for the high cost of aging.
The world’s population is aging at a faster rate than ever before and people are living longer. Every day until 2030, 10,000 Baby Boomers a day will turn 65 and 7 out of 10 people will require long-term care in their lifetime.
In your advisory practice, you help your clients plan for a secure retirement. But if you didn’t plan for needing long-term care, the retirement plan is at risk.
And if you ask Americans what worries them the most about their retirement, the answers are almost always “outliving my money” and “healthcare costs.”
Both speak directly to long-term care.
