Global Retirement Partners CEO, William Chetney, is an innovative thinker in the retirement planning industry — understanding the power of an open-architecture and value of a retirement planning advisor — and is dedicated to positioning Global Retirement Partners to become an innovator in participant advice. Bill’s leadership team is rounded out with industry veterans with years of industry experience and innovative technology/program development.


Leadership

Doug Nolte

Doug Nolte,
Managing Partner

Doug Nolte is Managing Partner for GRP Advisor Alliance with a focus on strategic partner programs and driving advisor adoption and utilization of GRP Advisor Alliance’s varied programs. Prior to joining GRP Advisor Alliance, Doug was a Vice President for LPL Financial tasked with developing/leading the LPL Retirement Partners Alliance Partnership program. Doug acted as the key liaison between the LPL Retirement Partners division, the LPL retirement focused advisors, and the industry’s provider community. Doug joined National Retirement Partners in late 2016, fulfilling a variety of roles including member firm recruiting, service, marketing and strategic alliances. He was instrumental in the initial development of most of NRP’s tools and service desk processes.

Doug currently resides in San Juan Capistrano, CA with his wife of 20 years and his 17 year old son J.T. He is actively involved in the local community and is considered competitive while racing his sailboat “No Parley” in most So. California regattas. Doug has earned the AIF and PPC designations, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Southern Utah University and holds the FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses.

Amy Glynn

Amy Glynn,

Amy leads the development and deployment of best in class worksite solutions and programs for GRP Advisors and GRP Alliance members. Advisor services range from investment analytics and business management tools, financial wellness and rollover platforms, GRP products including collective trusts, and ongoing access to GRP conferences, programs and training. Amy has played an active role on the in the retirement plan marketplace for over 20 years in corporate, entrepreneurial and volunteer capacities. Prior to joining GRPAA, Inc., Amy served as President of Retirement Services at Calton & Associates, Inc., where she built a cutting edge hybrid ERISA platform. She founded the Pension Resource Institute (PRI), a nationwide firm assisting broker/dealers with outsourced sales and compliance management systems. Other roles have included; building out a hybrid Retirement Services Platform at Commonwealth Financial Network as Director of Retirements; managing Northeast Institutional Sales as VP of Sales at NY Life and helping them shift from a direct to an indirect model; CEO/Founder of the Women’s Executive Network – recognized as “Start Up of the Year”(2000), Women’s Business Journal; and Divisional Director of Retirement Sales at Smith Barney running the number one producing sales territory in the US for 5 consecutive years. A recognized thought leader, Amy has been frequently published, is active on the national speaking circuit and has been nominated for 401kwires top 100 most influential people for six consecutive years, ranking #39 in 2010. She has served on the NAPA 401(k) Summit Steering Committee from 2012-2014 and is currently President-Elect of the Women in Pension Network’s Board of Directors where she chaired the development of the National Mentoring Program from 2012-2014. Presently, Amy is Founding Chair of the American Retirement Association’s Women’s Advisor Council. Amy is a graduate of Colgate University with a B.A. in English and Women’s Studies.

Geoffrey White

Geoffrey White ,
Managing Partner

Geoffrey White is responsible for helping drive both the growth of advisors utilizing GRP Advisor Alliance and GRP Financial as well helping to ensure advisors maximize the value of both entities. Geoff has a passion for helping advisors leverage collective investment trusts as well as financial wellness to drive positive participant outcomes. In Geoff’s role as SVP, Retirement Partners Business Development for LPL Financial, he led their efforts in the growth of new retirement focused advisors to join LPL Retirement Partners. Prior to LPL, Geoff served as National Sales Manager of National Retirement Partners (NRP). He began his tenure with NRP in December of 2004 as one of its founding partners. While working with the firm in its infancy stages, Mr. White had been instrumental in transforming the company from an idea and a concept to one of the country’s most recognized retirement plan consulting firms. Prior to NRP, Geoff was a Regional Vice President for Blackrock covering Southern California.

Born and raised in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Mr. White graduated from Providence College. His wife Jody and three children, Kallie(12), Curt(10), and Natalie(7) reside in Carlsbad, CA.

Christopher Giles

Senior Managing Partner

Christopher Giles is the Senior Managing Partner of GRP Advisor Alliance and is responsible for ensuring strategic programs are designed, executed, and delivered to advisors and plan sponsors. Christopher partners closely with advisors, industry experts, and retirement plan providers to create programs focused on a strong sense of community, financial wellness programs for participants, innovative investments, and he is the driving force behind the “plan sponsor committee meeting of the future.” He draws from his years of experience driving advisor adoption to ensure behavior change and benefit realization.

Previously, Christopher was Senior Vice President, Advisor Facing Technology with LPL Financial. Christopher was responsible for the strategic direction and day to day management of advisor facing technology solutions and adoption programs within the Advisor Facing Technology organization. He led the firm’s thinking and development of an overall business approach, vendor management, and product development and implementation strategy for these technology offerings and oversaw the successful adoption to meet business objectives. Before his tenure at LPL Financial, Christopher was Vice President, Advisor Facing Solutions at Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis, MN, where he managed an annual profit and loss unit of $96M and delivered new software-as-a-service technology systems and maintained all necessary facets of over 100 advisor applications. He also held the role of Vice President, Business Solutions Group, where he led a team that covered areas of business strategy, technical design, user experience design, marketing/communications, operations, and offshore contractors. Christopher spent nine years in the field as an advisor and in field leadership.

Christopher has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.

Bill Chetney is Founder of GRP Advisor Alliance based in Carlsbad, CA. Bill is focused on bringing together and delivering a comprehensive set of services that help plan sponsors drive employee satisfaction, create educated engaged plan participants, and knowledgeable trusted advisors. To this end, GRP Advisor Alliance is focused on marrying the goals and positive outcomes of the plan sponsor, the plan participant, and the advisor together to create extraordinary value.

Bill Chetney was President of LPL Financial Retirement Partners, a division created by the firm following its 2010 acquisition of National Retirement Partners (NRP). In this role, he was responsible for leading the firm’s retirement business and providing tools, services, and technology solutions to 5,000 participating advisors with 25,000 plans.

Before joining LPL Financial, Mr. Chetney, who has 20 years’ experience in the retirement plan business, was the founder, president, and chief executive officer of NRP. He was responsible for the strategic supervision of NRP’s member firms’ network, acquisitions, member firm relationships, and product development. NRP grew from his advisory practice 401(k)Advisors USA, which served institutional clients with over $1.5 billion in assets.

Mr. Chetney earned an MBA from Claremont Graduate University’s Peter Drucker School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in organizational psychology from Pitzer College. He is FINRA Series 7 and 24 registered through LPL Financial and is currently on the Board of Regents for the Boys Girls Club of Capistrano Valley.
